Implantation bleeding question

Ok, so I know that implantation bleeding does not always occur. My question is, with my DD I did have implantation bleeding. Does that mean that I would definitely have implantation bleeding for future pregnancies or might I not have any this time? Also, is it possible to have just the very faintest hint of blood like tiny, tiny spots for implantation bleeding or is it usually heavier? TIA!

Hello Skye.
From what i've read it is the same old story of "every woman and every pregnancy is different."
I'd say that if you had what you thought was implantation bleeding but it was heavy, and you knew you were preg, i'd get it checked out. The reason i say this is that i found out i was preg with DS 8dpo. And then at 6 weeks preg i started bleeding. enough to graduate from panty liner to pad. Not heaps but enough to freak me out about having a misscarrage. Called midwife and she told me to go straight in to the ward for observation. Did an ultrasound and all is was good. Their explanation was that more often than not "implantation bleeding" can actually occur well after the actually implanting as the embyo burrows deeper into lining of uterus. At this time, it can be heavier than the implantation bleeding that occurs at the actual time of initial implatation.
Does any of that make sense?
So, early bleeding = light. later bleeding=heavier.
