Got this off webMD...

"When does the fertilized egg implant into the uterus?

The egg becomes fertilized with a sperm within 12 hours after ovulation, usually in the outer portion of the fallopian tube. It then travels down the fallopian tube, increasing its size along the way. In the fallopian tube it becomes the zygote and doubles to two cells, four cells, then eight cells and becomes the "morula." As it enters the uterine cavity it's called a "blastocyst."

Implantation happens when the fertilized egg (blastocyst) attaches to the uterine wall and starts producing the pregnancy hormone hCG. Based on a study published in 1999 (Time of Implantation of the Conceptus and Loss of Pregnancy; Allen J. Wilcox, M.D. et.al. NEJM Volume 340:1796-1799) implantation happens on average 9.1 days after ovulation with a range of 6-12 days. In 84% of pregnancies implantation happened between days 8 and 10 after ovulation."

I guess I alwas thought it was by day 7dpo. Its usually later. Just thought I'd share!

Hey Nadine,

When are you testing? We are so close and both trying for girls...was curious. I bought the online tests so I cant resist testing every dang morning lol. I think Im imagining a faint line, DH cant see it and I know its too early. Thinking about stopping the madness and picking a day and sticking to it. What are your plans?

Well AF should show up at 13DPO as usual. With DS#1 I tested faint pos on 12DPO and DS#2 at 11DPO. I will try to hold off as long as possible. I have to wait at least until the weekend to be in the zone. I ordered a digital BBT and some cheap HPTs off the net. If I break down and test early, it will be the cheap ones. They haven't arrived yet, but should get here in the next day or so. I have one Clear Blue HPT to use only if I think pg is really probable. We have plans to go away to Fire Island this weekend, to close DH's family beach house for the winter. If I am strong, I will not pack any HPT's with me, so I have to wait until Sunday night.

WHat are your plans to test?
