Is it possible for a OPK to be wrong?

Is it possible for an OPK not to show that you are ovulating? I bought a OPK for the first time this month and maybe it's because I'm just new to it, but the test line never seemed to be darker or the same as the control line. However, FF says that they think I did ovulate according to my temps. Anyone else ever had this issue? I don't know whether to believe I ovulated or not.

hey there,
I think OPK's suck!

I never got a positive OPK, and I am 13w3d pregnant.
I was taking them three times a day, and I simply can't believe that I somehow missed my luteal surge with that amt. of tests.
I knew I did ovulate due to other signs.
Since you temp, I'd trust the temps before I would the OPKs
Hi,
I was having a similar problem.

href="http://www.pregnology.com/"I bought the internet test strip and used them for the first time last month. I would try them about 7 p.m. every night and I only got second lines a few days before FF says I O'd and they were no where near as dark as the control line. I don't know if it was because I didn't refrain from drinking long enough or if I was testing at the wrong time or whatever. This month I am going to also test in the day at work. I think I'm going to start testing twice a day at CD10. According to FF I O around CD14 or 15. We'll see if I get any positive results this month.
I wasn't too keen on them though.
