This is just infuriating!

Over the weekend I felt lousy and was convinced I was pregnant - nauseous, dizzy, exhausted, sore bbs, frigid chills (had with DS2), headaches, backache. So Monday I broke down and took at test at 10 dpo - negative. Figured I just tested too early. I decided to wait and test on Wed. Tuesday morning started having very slight spotting. By Tuesday night it was heavier so I figured AF was here. Wednesday morning I had some more heavier spotting, so I got out a pad and figured AF was finally going to show full-force. Pretty much zilch the rest of the day. This morning (Thurs), my temp finally nose-dived below coverline. When I went to the bathroom first thing I had a lot of watery browish-rust colored spotting (sorry, TMI) and figured, finally, this show was going to get on the road so I could move on. Nope. I've had one tiny drop on the pad since then and barely anything noticible on the TP. What the hell??? I know I'm not pg because of how much spotting there's been and the fact that my boobs no longer hurt. This is just torture. If I'm not pg, just let the witch do her business let me get on to the next cycle!! 3 days of spotting is just teasing me. I have to keep shifting my plans for the next cycle by a day. ugh!!
Should I be concerned about the spotting? How does that factor into my luteal phase length? I started spotting on 10 dpo - so does that mean my LP is only 10 days or do I ignore the spotting days and count between O and when AF finally gets down to business?

I just went through the exact same thing! I had every early pg symptom imaginable, but then started spotting, and of course got all BFN's when I tested. I spotted for 4 days, including the day that my temp dropped. Then my AF came (2 days late) the day after my temp dropped (yesterday). That's never happened before, and only added to me feeling like I was going crazy. I don't know, maybe I started to be pregnant and then it didn't stick... or I'm just psychologically creating symptoms, and really have gone crazy :)
I asked my dr. about the spotting (I usually spot before my AF) and she said it's nothing to worry about and that thinner women often spot before their AF. She said your luteal phase still goes until your full flow begins.
Anyways, just wanted to let you know I can relate! I hope yours turns out to be a BFP though :)
