What types of symptoms do you all usually experience during your LP?

I have noticed the past few cycles that I start to get cramping like AF is coming along with skin breakouts, appetite increase, and cravings for sweets around 5 DPO and I won't have AF for like another 10 days...the syptoms have been lasting from 5 DPO until AF comes.

This is only my second cycle trying, and last time my LP was 12 days long. Before TTC, I noticed that during the LP, my breasts were sore, and I was more bloated and irritable, and had a little heartburn. I never got cramping; sometimes the day AF started I would have mild cramps.

This time I've had pulling/light cramping from 2dpo on. I'm hoping it means I conceived, but I'm not sure. Nothing else is really different from a regular LP.

Hello,

I have been experiencing the same thing with the cramping. It started like two-three dpo and it is happening everyday off and on. It feels like AF cramping, but then it doesn't sometimes. If I were still on BCP I would get AF this weekend so I am a little nervous. I "O" on cycle day 15 so I am still in the waiting zone to test. I sure hope that these pains are not AF. GL ladies.

Well be thankful you have a long LP, mine is short & not so great for TTC.

I have all kinds of symptoms during LP...hunger, cramps, dizziness, pinching, O pain, you name it...I always convince myself Im going to get a BFP. The truth is, the symptoms vary person to person & cycle to cycle which just drives you batty!

How short is your LP? I honestly don't remember cramping EVER during LP, but I wonder if I just wasn't paying attention. I want to think it means I'm preggo, but it probably doesn't.

I think my LP is about 11 days if Im lucky based on temping last TTC. Ive only been temping this go around this cycle, so I cant say for sure yet.

Were you on BC before? I think that tends to mute cramping during LP since I didn;t really feel mine then either. It's only once I stopped pill or had IUD out that I feel everything...cramping, o pains, burning follicles...its crazy.

I hope its good news for you, but its better if you can think its not & just something new you're feeling & be surprised.

Im having more cramps than during AF now & Im only supposedly 4or5DPO

I haven't been on b/c for like three years; we've been using condoms until last month, which was our first ttc cycle. I had no LP/preAF symptoms while I was on the pill. I've never had cramping when off the pill, although I have a slew of other symptoms. We'll see. I agree it's best not to get your hopes up.

Oh, also wanted to add that I've always had short cycles (25-27 days), and I assumed I O-ed earlier and had 14 day LP, but last month I charted, and I O-ed on day 14 and had a 12-day LP. I heard the LP doesn't vary much; this month I O-ed on day 13, so we'll see if I have another 12-day LP. If so, AF is due on Sat.

Mindy...I'm interested in your thoughts on shorter LPs.

Ive read that 9 is OK as well but the longer time to give for implantation the better.

I cant remember my info exactly from when I was TTC DD, but I do know it was short. I started taking FertilAid & I started this month after getting AF. When I was TTC DD I was pregnant about 2.5 wks after taking it. It definitely helped regulate me in some way & push up O a few days.

Its discouraging when you read all the charts & calcs that use 28 day cycle avg & 14 day LP.
