Lurker with question for a dear friend

Hello. I found this board in hoping to find some answers for a dear friend, who is very frustrated and TTC her first child. She went off the pill about 8 months ago. She didn't really have regular cycles before the pill and has not had regular cycles since being off the pill, thus making it very hard to conceive, or even to know when to be trying. She's very frustrating and very upset. Is there any advice I can share with her? I've tried to get her to visit the parentsplace.com message boards, but I think she's a litlte shy and a little nervous. Any suggestions for her? Any advice? Any way I can be suppportive?

Any words of wisdom or BTDT advice is most welcome and very much appreciated.
