Luteal Phase Question...

I've read that the length of your luteal phase is supposed to be pretty standard, or might vary by a day or two. Since I've started charting/keeping track/paying the slightest bit of attention, I've seen the following luteal phase lengths: 14 days (cycle 1), 11 days (cycle 2), 12 days (cycle 3) and I am currently 12 DPO in cycle 4. Is this strange? I thought your luteal phase was always pretty much the same, unless:
a) 14 days, 11 days and 12 days are considered to be pretty much the same
OR
b) my ovulation dates aren't all exactly accurate.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.

Cycle 1 - BFN. Diagnosed with PCOS.
Day 3 Blood Work - Appears to be normal, with slightly high prolactin. Must re-do next cycle.
Cycle 2 - DH's s/a came back normal. BFN - AF arrived early.
Cycle 3 - Day 3 Blood Work re-do is normal. Could not do HSG...long story. Have an appt. with the local fertility genius in mid-May. O'ed early, no chance for a BFP this cycle, which was my first 28 day cycle in YEARS!!! woo hoo
Cycle 4 - Day 3 b/w is normal yet again. Back to my usual CD 19/20/21 O day. Using CBEFM and OPKs, not temping.

Great question....I'd love to hear input.
