Luteral phase??

I hope to get some clarification...... we are on our 6th cycle of trying and my question basically is...once you ovulate, does AF always come 14 days after that, or could it be later? My AF the past couple of months is a few days later, but I don't think I'm ovulating later....when I was looking online, I read it's ALWAYS 14 days after that you get AF, otherwise you're O'ing later...just wondering...thanks!!

it is alwasys (maybe within a day) the same number of days from o to AF. so for me, it is 11-12 days, but for "jane doe", it is alwasy 13-14 days. and for 'mary jones' it is alwasy 15 days.
if mary ovulates 2 weeks later than usual, her AF will come 2 weeks later, but still 15 days after O.
your luteal phase can shift over time, but it is usually a day at at a time. like over the course of 4 cycles, maybe your LP can shift to being 4 days later, but only o day a month longer. UNLESS you are taking a lot of b6 - my LP shot ahead from 8 days to 12 in one cycle.
and the LP is rarely longer than 16 days, unless of course one is PG. GL!!
