Hello ladies,

I am completely new here, have never even lurked! I am pretty sure that I am very early into my second pregnancy (my son is 19 months old), but it it too early to test. I am having completely different symptoms than I had with my son. With my first pregnancy I experienced swollen and tender breasts almost immediately, even before implantation. Right now I am experiencing pretty bad nausea-which I never had when pregnant with my son. I am on day 22 of my cycle (I have irregular cycle lengths). I'm wondering if anyone thinks it is too early to be experience "morning sickness." Also, how do you know when to test if you don't know when your period would be expected?

Cd 22 is too early to experience morning sickness. The nausea you are experiencing is a side effect from progesterone, the hormone produced after ovulation & into pregnancy. Many of us experience nausea after O. I personally have had it some cycles & not others.

Do you have any idea when you think you might have ovulated? Did you notice any fertility signs? When to test depends on when you O'd. Testing 14 days past O should register a positive.

Thanks for the response, Angela. I should have O'd around the 28-30th of November, according to my CM. I've never experienced nausea before so I was pretty alarmed by it. I got a very early + when I was pregnant with my son, but my cycle lengths are not predictable now. I'm trying to hold off testing for a few more days :)

If you O'd according to the cm I'd guess you'll see a bfp or af by the end of the week. Typically with irregular cycles, it is the O date that is irregular but lp's tend to be fairly constant, from 10-16 days, give or take. Really long cycles tend to be annovulatory, or a really late O.

I've had a few cycles with really bad nausea & they really threw me for a loop because I really got my hopes up. I think it's from really high levels of progesterone in the 2ww.

Thanks again! I've never experienced nausea from Oing, but I guess there is a first for everything. I have felt perfectly fine all day so I'm feeling let down :(. Short story long, my cycles are usually anywhere from 30-45 days, but last month I had a 28 day cycle-first time in my life. All I have to go on for ovulating is my CM. I guess the upside to not being pregnant this month would be a very happy dh because we would have to "try harder" next month. :). Have a great night, and thanks again for responding.
