Miscarriage symptoms?

Please don't be mad at me for asking this. I know lots of you ladies have been through too many losses. I just need a little input from real people. Everything I Google is just too scary.

Does a miscarriage have to include heavy bleeding? Do miscarriages always happen quickly, or can it take a few weeks?

I'm sorry your stuck in this stage. It's already hard enough in early pregnancy to deal with all the worries that go along with it. I hope all goes well for you

Update: My hormone levels are really low. Progesterone is 5.0. Hcg beta is 991. I got a positive pregnancy test 23 days ago, so it has to be at least

I am so sorry that this is dragging out for you :( With mine, I had spotting the week prior than it was gone but a week later i spotted red blood and went to the doctor, they did an ultrasound and bloodwork and stuff. There was a baby with a heartbeat in the 140's but was measuring a week smaller and I knew my O date so didnt think that was a good sign. I hated that they tell you because there is a good heartbeat that there is like a 90 something percent chance everything is okay now but I miscarried the next day, the bleeding just got heavier after my appt until I miscarried. They had me come back a week later to do an ultrasound to make sure everything had taken care of itself as far as any leftover tissue or anything.
