Does anyone breathe through their mouth? I do because of allergies and nasal stuffiness.

Yes, mouth breathing *can* affect temps...generally it makes them lower.

I know you can't this cycle, but I say switch to vaginal temping! It really isn't any more obsessive, and may really help!

You can do it! (hope you don't have to worry about temping next cycle though!)

Hey Kimber! In the past we have had several women test out temping vaginally and compared charts with vaginal temping to oral temping- vaginal temping is MUCH more accurate. It tends to show "o" spike earlier and seems more sensitive than oral temping. Just stay in bed and instead of popping the bbt in your mouth- stick it *you know where*. This also helps if you have a stupid beeping therm that DH gets annoyed with cause it can't be heard down there under the covers ;o) Just stick it in- not sure how far, but just in I think is good enough.

Let's see...how do I describe this, lol.

When I have temped vaginally, I guess I put it in umm...up to the part of the thermometer where it gets wider...which would be a couple of inches I guess.

Be very careful though...don't want to poke yourself! Yes, you would have to wake up a bit more to insert it, but I have layed there with it between my legs and dozed back off...ok, that was TMI!

Good luck!
