As some of you know, my DH and I haven't told my parents or his parents we are TTC. My sister knows as well as a couple of my friends and a bunch of the couples we hang out with because my DH is a moron when he is drunk, but my parents don't know and they are ansy.

A couple of weeks ago my dad's friend asked in front of my DH if we had any plans for a baby and my dad said "No, they got a dog instead!!" All huffy like. He really wants to be a grandpa.

And today my mom was razzing my DH say what is taking so long, I had Jenni by the time I was her age (25 26 in November). You are going to be 44 when that child graduates High School.

I think my parents have offically lost it. It takes everything I have not to tell them, I think I might have to soon if they don't grow up. Oh no, I might be 44 when they graduate High School God Forbid

ROTFLMAO

LOL @ the dog reference.

I've got one, a few years ago at a family gathering I was holding BIL-SIL's new baby maybe 3 months old, Hubby's stupid aunt comes up and is like OHHHH when are you having a baby, I looked at her and said, well we are NOT having any, we know how much Linda (MIL and her sister) hates kids so we wouldn't want to put her through that. She got this really confused look on her face and wandered off LOLOLOL (this is the truly stupid relative that always says the wrong thing on purpose, you know the type)

Te he he he I'm evil I know

I hear ya! I wasn't going to tell my mom that we were trying until my dh kinda slipped. So I was like yeah we are trying. Mainly because I was having problems. So now she knows but thankfully she doesn't push the issue anymore. So maybe if you tell them they won't push the issue so much. Just a thought. Good Luck!

I disagree with the last post. It is MUCH more fun to toy with them then tell them! DH and I were with the In-Laws looking at a truck for DIL. DH and I were looking around at other cars with MIL and got to the topic of Vans/Station Wagons. I said I preferred station wagons, but we were going to stick with our compacts because we're not having pregnant. His mom said "Yet". Ever hopeful! hahaha. We even told them DH had a vasectomy but I don't think they believed it. I can't wait until we can tell them!!!

i totally agree if the ILs are gonna pester about when you're gonna get pregnant start messing with their heads. i've been trying to find different ways to get DH family to stop asking. i think one time i even said this so it could have been heard on the phone, "if you'd stop calling every five minutes i might be ble to try some more'

we get annoyed with it so we decided to have some fun. oh well i gotta wait until next month to start scaring them again....hehe i love being me( i'm so evil when i want to be)

Got to love the family. My ILs always use to say not to have kids. Recently, they started dropping hints that makes me think that they may have changed their view points. All the babies grew up, so I think they are ready. Oh well. I just say that it will happen when it happens. I happen to hate that phrase because I hear it too often, but it’s nice to be able to use it on someone else.
