Need your Opinions on PG Tests...

Ok...just wondering what everyone's favorite pregnancy test is???

I am using these cheapy ones I bought offline, but I don't like them very much and worry that they aren't accurate.

CBSnews did a study and found that First Response was the highest rated test for sensitivity and accuracy.

What are your thoughts??

Well I just wrote this long and detailed message and then the computer monster ate it.

So this will be more abbreviated. I got my BFP last month.

I took the FRER(which is also like the Answer brand), four days before my period was due. I got a positive. But it was one of those barely positives where you don't want to believe it.

I got a positive on a digital 12 hours later, but it took almost the whole allotted time for the digital to decide I was pregnant (It says results in three minutes, and it took about two and a half) But the next day, I took another digital and it was positive within 30 seconds. There's just something about seeing the whole word pregnant. That's always good.

I took a Wal-Mart brand and an off brand one the day my period was due (by off brand, I mean the tests you get at Big Lot). Both were positive, although the Wal-Mart brand uses the cross hair tests. You get a plus sign for pregnant, a minus for not pregnant. But every time I took a Wal-mart (Equate) test, the line that meant positive, was always way off center, it played tricks with my mind. So I'd have to not recommend the Wal-Mart kind because of that.

So if you're testing early, I'd go with FRER or Answer. If you're not, any brand for me besides the Wal-mart brand was okay.

I don't know if you have been there before, but you might try checking out www.peeonastick.com. They list a lot of pregnancy test sensitivities and even have info on reliability (for some of them).

In the past week I think I have read that some ladies on here have had some troubles with the Target Brand hpts and the Walgreen's Brand, something about false positives! So I would stay away from those.

With my daughter I tested with First Response Early Result, a digital test, and some generic brands and got negatives on them all,

I use these and have found them to be very accurate (sensitive to 20 mIU/ml rather than 50 mIU/ml like store bought brands) and they are CHEAP! Shipping for me was $1.99.

I dont believe anything i hear on the news, lol.

i like the dollar tree tests. alwasy worked for me. i have some even cheaper ones from ebay, and i am sure they work fine, but they are so flimsy that they are ea pain. i like the $tree ones fine.
