Ok so I have several questions but im going to start by giving my background info so hopefully you ladies can help me out! Im 23 and this is my first month ttc, married, one ds age 3. My ds was a surprise conceived while on the pill, now we are ready for round 2. I took my last bc pill on the day af showed (october 6th) and experienced ewcm as well as light cramping on left side (ovulation pain?) Around october 16-19 (did bd every other day during this week). Now im approximately 7dpo and have been feeling dizzy and faint randomly throughout the day for 3 days now, having hot flashes (very rare for me I normally freeze), breasts have been extremely sensitive (tmi warning: just a t shirt brushing across nipples is very uncomfortable, I experienced this during my first pregnancy), im experiencing frequent urination (possibly due to my attempts to kick my soda habit and drink water more), I've also been very irritable and having a hard time getting to sleep at night then feeling very tired during the day even after 8+ hrs sleep. I know all this could be due to many other factors but can't help but hope its early symptoms. Its hard to say when I expect af since this is my first cycle off the pill but if I stick to a 28 day cycle it should be due nov 4th. I am trying so hard not to get my hopes up so early in the game, I know its very rare to conceive on the first try, but I am hopeful. Any suggestions on when to test?

Since you aren't temping and don't know exactly when you O'ed, it is best to wait until around the time AF is due. Maybe test as early as Oct 30th-Nov 1st because I know it is soooo hard to wait lol, but if you think you can wait longer than that. Definitely do it! I am 23 as well but TTC my first and have fertility issues. Welcome to the board!

Thanks! This is all just so new to me. Should I try temping and if so how exactly do I do that?

Well it is best to start temping before ovulation so you can notice a clear thermal shift indicating that you've ovulated. Make sure you take your temperature the same time every morning and after you've been sleeping for at least three hours. I use fertilityfriend.com to do my charts, there's a whole thing on learning how to temp. If you click on my little football ticker you can check out my chart and sign up. You get 30 days free. Also, if you want to start practicing temping now to get the hang of it, you can! Your temps also stay elevated if you are pregnant. If you aren't pregnant, they will drop the day before AF is due.

Good luck!!! I would wait to temp like was said before at least until AF is due or you think she is due. And temping is a great idea. I used to temp but don't anymore we are not preventing but not trying if that makes sense lol. However I temped and did all that when we where TTC our DD it took us 4 and 1/2 years to get pregnant with her so I am pretty intune with my body. To me it sounds like you might have had O pains I get them every month and mine are very very painful for some reason. Well good luck again. And I hope you get that BFP soon!!!

Thanks! I was curious abt the o pains because I've been on bc so long I don't ever remember having them and my pms cramps are mild to non existent and these hurt worse than my pms cramps. Im hoping I actually o-ed this time but hopefully if I missed it this time I will do better with it next month. Dh and I decided to take pregnancy test on Tuesday if af hasn't came by then so here's hoping! Hope we all get our bfp's soon!
