So I've read all about everyone else, and figured I should give this a shot! Should have paid a lot more attention in health class - who knew there was so much to getting pg! 30 yrs young and TTC#1, started last month, thought for sure I was pg with all the weird symptoms I was feeling, but BFN Sunday when I started spotting, then AF came Monday. I'm going to start OPK (5th day of cycle)- but my question is - should I consider CD1 the day I started spotting, or should I count CD1 the day AF was fully there??

Good luck to you. I hope your stay here is short. You might pick up a copy of the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It's a great book and teaches you everything you'll need to know.
Good luck,
Katie

CD1 always begins on the day that RED blood shows... so usually not just spotting.
GL in TTC... there is a lot more to it than I ever imagined too. TTC#3 and I'm still learning stuff! :-0 I just don't get it though, why when we were all in HS... it seemed as though girls were gettng pg. all the time and "on accident."
I don't know what ON ACCIDENT even means. From day one TTC#1 we've been forced to learn all about this stuff. Getting PG DOES NOT come easily for us! We have to time it, watch for CM, feel O cramping, BD EVERY 36hrs that are even remotely close to my O date, put to the pillow under my butt for 30 minutes, have him on top... and the list goes on and on!
There is a lot! It's a good thing teenagers don't know all this... otherwise we could have a lot more careless teenagers practicing unsafe sex. :-(
Well have fun and GL!

GL to everyone else trying! It will be fun getting to know you all through the process!
Thanks again!
