Hi -

This is the first time I have posted. I was talking with a friend of mine last night and she told me that if you use lubricants during sex while trying to get pregnant it can lower sperm count. I had never heard of this and though lubricants were ok. Does anyone have any information on theis subject?

Thanks

Absolutely true! There is only one brand I think of lubricant that is sperm friendly (maybe someone else can help with exactly what that is, but I know it's not KY).

Saliva is also NOT sperm friendly so keep that in mind while TTC as well.

The supposedly "sperm friendly" lubricant is called Pre-seed. They say the Ph is comparable to that of the CM of a woman so it does not do any harm to sperm. I haven't been able to find much research on it, I've only really been able to go by what the company says about being "sperm friendly". You can order it from online drugstores. I hpe this helps. Good luck! Tanya
