My significant other and I finally decided to try and conceive this month. We're both pretty excited and really nervous. I have a 3 1/2 old DS from a previous marriage. I just had to tell someone because we can't tell anyone else. I miscarried my first child but had my DS not long after with (what the insurance company called) fertility drugs (Progesterone). I don't get full medical through significant others medical insurance until June 1st, so we're keeping our fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly until then. We might have to try for awhile so, we're starting now. :)

I can't wait to read some of your stories.

Thanks for letting me share in my excitement, Swtnss

Welcome to the board. My DH and I just started last month. Good luck to you and your SO. May your stay here be short.

DS is still potty training. I'm hoping to get him in preschool before another baby is definitely on the way but we'll see. He pee's standing up but won't give up on the poop part. (Sick I know.)

Best of luck to you and thank you for the nice welcome, Swtnss

P.S. How was it going from #1 to #2?

Potty training is not my favorite part of child rearing, tho after it is done I always wonder why I put it off as londg as I did. Ahh well, good luck with your little guy! As far as going from 1 to 2, it was definatly a change, for the most part it was not that hard for me, the only difficult time was if I had 2 crying at the same time, esspecially at night, tho your son is older than my first was. I have actually learned to cope a lot better since I have had 2 or three, and my kids are so cute together, they just love eachother and depend so much on one another for companionship. Also my first learned to be more tolerant and flexible and less self centered, and the others have not had that problem. I think siblings are so great, they give opportunities for learning that kids can't get anywhere else. I think that with loving guidance and teaching, they help develop eachother into more rounded healthy people. So, theres my sermon for the day, sorry, I just wouldn't change my family structure for the world and look forward to #4!
