So, I spoke to a PA where I work (family practice/urgent care) and she ordered a progesterone since my LPs are short and seemingly get shorter, being 10. I was 6dpo when I got the test done and it was
19.6. I am taking B6, but why is my LP so short? I am more confused now than before! I'm having no IPS symptoms at all, can't even make up any, Haha!

I know how u feel Lola! I have been taking B6 this month so we will see! I just don't understand if my progesterone wasn't low (which I am so thankful for!), whats the reason!? I Google it and probably shouldn't but ill monitor this cycle and see what happens. Last month I started 4 days early! So a 24 day cycle stinks! But I'm 9dpo and expected to start Wednesday. FXd that ours is longer this time!! :)

I also have short cycles, I have always had a 28-30 cycle, but I was on the pill for 8 months to get rid of an ovarian cyst. I got off the pill July 17 and ever since then, I had shorter cycles.

First Cycle off the pill: 23 days
Second: 27 days (I was like YES)
Third: 25 days ( I was like okay :/)

I would like my 28 days cycle back, so that averages 25 days, so LP is not too long since I tend to O on CD14-16. :/

I have heard that less than 8 days is a concern....I have short cycles as well.

I was put on birth control in 2007 for my short cycles. I went off it in March, until August I thought I was magically fixed, haha! Then since then its been short. No change that I can really think of. I've maybe lost 7 pounds recently but nothing drastic. Everything I read is all about progesterone being the cause! Even some websites said under 12 is cause for concern.

I'm in the same boat -great progesterone #'s & a shortish lp too. Frustrating *but* 10, while on the short side is still long enough for implantation to occur. Plus, good progesterone numbers is a huge bonus!

Have your cycles always been shorter? Are you recently off bcp? Any other lifestyle changes (diet, exercise, stress)? I know some girls had shorter lp's while taking the b6 -maybe it affects you like that too?
