OK..... this may seem a bit late, but here goes anyway. I have a Dr's appt for my annual physical tomorrow afternoon.

I am thinking about cancelling. Reason being ~ this is our 6 mo TTC, and if it doesn't happen this month, then I am going to want to chat with a Dr about things. BUT, this is 7DPO... do you think she would be able to tell if I AM PG?

So my question really is.... should I go ahead & go to the appt - no thinking "what if"? Or should I wait & either meet with an OBGYN on TTC or 1st appt after getting BFP?

I'm torn.

Thanks!

Teera,

Personally, I would go and do the usual. And then if you felt comfortable, start talking with the Dr. now about TTC. Presumably they have to give you a referral for any fertility testing anyway (many insurance companies require it). And definitely do not pin your hopes on them being able to tell if you are PG yet, since 7 days is very early.

Whatever you decide, good luck!

I would definately go to the appt. What have you got to lose? And....you won't be thinking "what if...."

Personally, if it were me, I'd reschedule. That way if I did get a BFP then I would be sure to have an appointment lined up before most people, who have to wait 8 or 9 weeks. But that's just me! Good luck!

I would check with your insurance. Many insurances have dumb regulations on fertility appointments as well as your annual checkup. If you can arrange a pre-TTC meeting along with your annual, you'll only have to pay your co-pay.

My recommendation is to check with your insurance company before making any decision.

Thank you ladies!

I have called my insurance co. I am still a bit confused - they cover one "routine" Pap per calendar year. (This is what I have scheduled with my primary care physician tomorrow)If I have too see an OBGYN regarding not conceiving yet, and she requests a Pap / physical is that Non routine? Hmmmmm.......

My MD is not in the office today, so I left a msg for the Nurse Practictioner. I'm still waiting for her call back. I'll see what she knows about the whole scenario.
