My question has alot of preamble to it...

Currently, cd25. Im ttc#1 after a year and a half of trying and after being on the pill for 10 years. Cycles over this time have ranged anywhere from 30 - 106 days, but have been around 35 days for the past 2 cycles.

Temps were low (like they should have been) until cd16 when they rose to 97.61 for 2 days. They continued to rise - 98.15, 97.88, 97.79. I assumed ovulation. BUT, then they dropped cd21 to 97.43, then 96.94, then 96.94. On cd 24 they rose AGAIN to 97.72 and then today cd25 they were 97.66. (Sorry I don't have a chart to post, but I chart in Excel)

What do you think? Did I actually O on cd16? Or did I O on cd24? Did I O twice? Have I O'd at all? Could it be pg????? I did have very mild cramping cd23 and cd24. Today I have a 'full' feeling or bloated feeling. I hate scrutinizing every symptom and convincing myself. I just want this cycle to be it, because I start clomid next cycle and would rather conceive 'naturally'.

Thanks for all your help. Good luck to you all,

~Cheri

Cheri,

When did you O last month? If your cycle is 35 days and you have an average luteal phase then that would put you at CD22,23 for Oing. But then again your cycles may have started shortening by themselve and you could have Oed earlier, or twice. I would wait the 35 days and test if AF doesn't show. I'm inthe same situation as you with the Clomid, if I'm not pg this month dr is starting me on a low dose. I also would rather conceive natually, but after 20 months with no luck I am welcoming some extra help.

If your shortest cycle has been 35 days thus far, then you could not tell by your chart if you were pregnant right now, so I think I would rule that option out (just that you couldn't know if you were pregnant right now, not that you aren't!). What were your temps before CD16? I know you said low, but I was wondering how low? You usually figure out your coveline from the last 6 temps prior to the rise, so it would help to know that. I tried to freehand a chart to look at, but I need the prior temps to even make a guess if you O'd, etc.

It is highly unlikely that your ovulated twice that far apart. Most women ovulate once, and the few that do ovulate twice ovulate within a 24-hour time frame. What is possible is that you geared up to ovulate and didn't. An important factor in all of this is what your CM has been doing. It helps to know this especially if the temps are being irratic. If you can give a little more info, I'll try to make a better guess.

Thank you so much for all of your input...

My previous temps were:

cd9 97.43

10 97.52

11 97.79

12 97.52

13 97.25

14 97.16

15 97.07

Todays temp was back DOWN to 97.19.

CM is almost always the same - water, clear to slightly cloudy.

I just don't get it, but I think Im just going to stop temping this cycle, wait for AF, and start the darn clomid. I just get so discouraged.

Thanks again for trying to help...

I'm guessing that you just haven't O'd yet. You could be having an annovulatory cycle, or O may still be to come. It's a bummer your CM doesn't change to help indicate O. I'm sure you already know to try to take your temps at the same time every day. You can also try temping vaginally to get a more stable temp. If you think you can bear it, just keep taking your temps, it may let you know when AF is coming instead of blind guessing. You have had long cycles in the past. Have you had clear thermal shifts staying above the coverline on most cycles, any annovulatory, any this crazy but still a late O?

Hi Cheri,

I don't really have any advice. I'm still pretty new at charting and am baffled at my own right now. I would guess that you o'd around CD24. It seems to me the longer my cycle is the later I o.

I'm sending you lots of ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~O~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Vibes and some ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Positive Thought Vibes too!

Hang in there,
