OPK ?

I have a quick question. I'm on CD11, I started using OPK on CD9. I know for a + OPK the line has to be as dark. Today I had a very light line. Does that mean I'm getting closer to O or does it mean anything. Does it get a little darker each day or what

TIA

Heather, I'm not sure what happens before, but I know what happens after so I can only guess that it's the same. With all that has been going on with me, I wasn't really expecting to ovulate so soon after my m/c. Anyway, when I noticed some EWCM, I took and OPK test and it was + (dark), that was Tuesday. I took another one on Wednesday and it too was dark. I was told that I could have caught the beginning and end of the surge. Anyway, I'm pretty sure I ovulated on yesterday so I took one today to see what it would look like, and the line was really light. So, all I can say is that maybe it does the same in the beginning. I'll be watching this post to know for sure.

Good luck this month.

Heather, I don't have an answer, but I had the same question. Does anyone know? I just started using OPK last cycle and I'm so confused with my irregular cycle that I could pretty much use them every day!

I use them, this cycle for 6 days until the very dark line showed up. After I O the line gets lighter. I think it's just a line indicating that the test is working when it is light. If you have the money you could test every day for two weeks soon after AF ends.

You might also try charting your temps and monitoring your CM.

Good luck!

Thanks, Claire. I'll keep testing ... it just makes you feel so obsessive! Plus it's hard to avoid peeing for four hours in a row! I'm going to end up so dehydrated!
