OPK confusion!

Hi all,
I am suffering from OPK confusion! Though this is our second month *trying* to conceive (the first few months off BC we were very laissez-faire about it), it's my first month charting and using an OPK.
I am suffering from OPK confusion! Though this is our second month *trying* to conceive (the first few months off BC we were very laissez-faire about it), it's my first month charting and using an OPK.
AF came 10/10; cycles typically 27-29 days. I started using the OPK (Target brand) on Sunday, early morning; got a strong line but still lighter than the control line (test instructions say to be positive must be same color or stronger than control line). Yesterday, same thing. Today I decided to wait til later in the AM to test, to see if that made a difference. Today there was a light line, lighter than the other two. My lowest temp yet this month was yesterday. Although DH & I have been BD'ing a lot, just to make sure we're covered, I'd really like to be able to pinpoint the date I O.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Jen

I think it is best to use OPK's in the afternoon as the surge is in the morning and may not catch it in the morning. I use the target brand to, and I noticed that my line was almost as dark as the control line but not darker and that was my positive as I o'd 2 days later.

Jen is right- you have to use OPKs in the afternoon- 2-6pm preferably. If you use them in the morning you may miss the surge. Keep bding til your temp goes up indicating "o" and you should be just fine ;o)
