Hi there.

Your cycles are like mine 32-34 days each month. I don't know if I'd use the ov kits, as they are very expensive and you only get five sticks normally. I just bought the Clearblue Easy Fertility monitor and it is pricy, around $200.00 from a store (any drug store, via internet sells them) but I got mine from ebay for $125.00 (I bid on it and won it) but the downfall, you must buy the testing sticks seperate and they are also a bit pricy, you get 30 sticks for $50.00 but you can also bid for them on ebay for much, much cheaper. I think this monitor is awesome, you set it the day your mp starts and then on day 6 it starts asking you to test but b/c it does not know the length of your cycle it may ask you to use 20 testing sticks to determine next cycle how early / late to start testing, once the monitor figures out your cycle goes a bit longer, you may not need to start testing the next month until cd 10, just depends on your cycle and the monitor to get to know it after one month. This is my very first month using it and like you, my cycle started around the same time, I started af on 8-22 so I am only two days behind you. I seem to have settled my cycles around 32-34 days now as I said, so if thats true, I should not ov until around cd 18-21 I'm assuming but I don't know for sure, that is why I bought this great machine. Check out their website: clearblueeasy.com for more info on this monitor but DO NOT buy off their website, it's way too much! Just go to any search engine and punch it in, you'll get hundreds of links for it for much less.

So all in all, with irregular cycles or rather longer cycles, I'd use this monitor, normally, when the monitor gets to know your cycle you'll only need 10 testing sticks per month not 20 but that is initially how many until the monitor detects how early / late your LH surge is, plus it gives you high fertiltiy days to bd about 5 days notice so you have plenty of time before actual ov happens.

Hope this helps.

Another option would be to get a "combo pack" from www.testsforless.com ...

I got 25 OPKs and 5 HPTs for only around $26.00! Great buy!
