OPK result questions

I'm using OPKs...which in the past have always been negative for me. The last couple of days, there has been a VERY faint line...and today I have a darker line. It is not quite as dark as the control, but is close. I think I'll do another one in an hour or so...as when I took it the first time, it'd only been an hour since the last time I peed....and I know you are suppose to "hold it" for at least 2 hours with this particular test.

Anyway...does the increasing darkness of the line mean that I'm getting ready to have the surge, even if it is still negative at this point?

Thanks for any info!!!

Hey Anne,

My understanding of those things is that, yes, the line should get darker as you get closer to surge. I'm sure you've already read on the instructions, that it is not positive until the test line is as dark or darker than the control line.

Have you looked at my chart or anything lately? Completely different cycle working here. 7DPO today, according to FF anyway, and had a pretty good dip in temp this morning, hoping and praying it may be Implantation, but I just don't know. I went back and looked at all my other charts and haven't had a dip like that during what should be IMP. I don't even know when to expect AF really with my cycle being off. If I did indeed "O" on CD18, I'm thinking she should appear maybe next Friday, but who knows. Cat ( crayburn001 , I think) had an interesting observation, she thinks I may have "O" twice. She said that it really looked like my body tried to "O" on CD14, temps went up and then went down, and then went back up again. She said our BDing was good for either one. Wouldn't that be awesome !!!!! Possible 2 "O"s, possible 2 eggies, possible 2 spermies = possible twins!!! I know that's reaching WAAAAAAAYYYYYYY out there, but just to humor me, wouldn't that be sooooooo cool !!!!!

Well, we're heading to MIL's again this weekend. We're hosting a baby shower for my SIL. She's about 8 months pg with #2. That's been a little hard to swallow, but I'm so happy for her. She has a 6 year old son, and she really thought she wouldn't be able to have any more. Low and behold, she got pg in January I think, could've been late Dec. She's having a little girl this time.

I hope you have a good weekend. You should be starting the BD Fest soon, if you haven't already. How's the Clomid going? Any side effects? Hope not!! Take care and talk to you soon.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this? I have the same question. It seems the line has gotten darker the last two days.

Another question: Do you always follow the instructions completely? The brand I got says to reduce fluid intake, not to pee for four hours and best time is 10am-8pm. I kinda reduce my fluid intake, don't pee for about 3hrs and take it around 7pm. Just womdering if anyone had gotten positive results not following the instructions to the T.

Thanks,

Chrissy

Keep testing the lines do get darker!!!

This is my second month using opk. I don't think I used it correctly the first time because when I saw two lines I thought that was +. This month I saw two lines

(one faint) on cd 12,13,nothing on 14 and 15 two lines faint but darker on 16 and cd 17 two dark lines on cd 17. I used opk 0nce in morning and night. By the time I might of surged DH and I were getting worn out. I have regular 28-29 day cycles so I don't know how it is possible to o so late.

Good Luck to ya!!!!
