opk test strip question

This is my first month trying the OPK test strips. Got them from www.early-pregnancy-tests.com. I started trying them beginning CD6 just to see what changes would occur as O was getting closer since this is my first time trying them. Today for the first time I got a faint second line, not even near as dark as the control line. This was the first time I've ever seen a faint line. I'm on CD12, so I'm due to O anytime, I suppose. Last month FF had me O'ing at CD14, but that was strictly based on temps (and it was my first time temping so I wasn't great at it). So my question is -- do you normally get faint lines before you get a line darker than the control? If so, when? Do you normally get it a day before, a few days before? When the line is darker than control does that mean O is occuring that day or the next?

The OPK test strips measure the LH hormone. LH is always present in a woman's system, sometimes a bit more noticeable than others. You can see faint lines at times throughout your cycle, even if you're not about to O. For this very reason it's very difficult to say how soon you will O. Just keep testing! You'll know the + OPK when you see it!
