Hi everyone,

I am new to this place...ttc X 1 mth. Mom of 2. I just came of the bc patch last month and hopefully o'd on the 13th. I don't know when to expect AF bc I haven't established a reg cyle yet. LMP was 7/24, I've been anxious and took 3 hpt's all neg. I've heard opk's can detect early pg, but mine was neg this a.m. Does anyone know anything about opt's being accurate as hpt's??

Thanks,

Jenessa

I have never heard of such thing, but would curious how it does that since OPK measure your LH and HPT measure your HCG.

Thanks, I heard somewhere that your lh surges before you o, and if you become pg it doesn't drop off, but if your not pg it does drop off. I just don't know. If I could just sit back and relax and wait that would be fine, but i'm obsessing!! Thanks for you input.

I read somewhere that they (OPKs) are more accurate than EPTs, but I can't find where I read it!!!

Hi,

I think this is the post you are talking about...? Thought it was interesting too. Please post your results if any of you try this. I am curious as well!

Ok.. does that mean that a positive OPT.. does the line have to be as dark? All the time? or faint lines?? And at what time would they show up??

TIA

Hi Nanci,

Okay from what I understand (which may not be much!) The line either has to be as dark as the control line or the line has to get darker each day. So it may be light today (mine) but if it is darker tomorrow than today that is a good sign!! If anyone out there knows something else let me know......I'm not an op expert!!

HTH,

Jenessa
