I've actually heard from a few friends here lately they temp vaginally and not orally because it gives them a more regular chart.

I have temped orally and had no problems for more than 4 months now. I have never tried to temp vaginally. Both FF and IV detect my ovulation w/ oral temps.

Hi Jenny,

I started temping only two weeks ago. I started to temp orally, but felt that my temps were a bit high (my temp was higher in the morning then in the afternoon!!), so I thought that I would have a better chart doing in vaginally...but the problem was my thermometer!

Since the there was a big difference between my regular thermometer and my BBT (which is normal), I bought another one, just to see how much different it would be...and there it was my BBT was giving me readings that are 0.5 Fº higher then my new thermometer!

Whatever the method, make sure your thermometer is a good one! I prefer orally since vaginally is bit of a problem for me when I were a pj to sleep!

I was using "BD" basal thermometer and now using "OviTrack".

I am very happy that I vaginal temp. I can't believe I struggled with oral temping for 5 months! But that is just me. My temps run low (high 96's - low 97's) so when I vaginal temp I don't see a huge off the chart temp. I probably see regular temp for most people. Also the biggest issue for me is mouth breathing/snoring, etc. It changes my temp for the worst after I

Hey there! It is my understanding that you can "put it in" as far as you want I guess. The important thing is
