OT- my cat had her kittens...

My cat had her kittens sometime yesterday but I still have not seen/found them. I know abouts where they are b/c I have been watching where Sheba(outdoor cat) comes and goes from. We live out in the country for those who didn't know that. There is a brush pile out by our water well that she keeps going to and coming to the house to eat from. DH insists that the kittens are probably fine and in a couple of days she will bring them up to the house, she's just keeping them hid right now. I am nuts though. Last night it was all I could talk about. I keep hoping that they are okay and that she is taking care of them. DH keeps telling me not to worry that they are probably fine and I will get to see them in a couple of days.

Wednesday night when I felt her tummy and all I could feel 3 different bulges and her titties(sorry for the term) were more pronounced and easier to see than the night before so I started to wonder. Yesterday morning before I left for work I went outside and called her name...never came. Then I poured her food in her bowl which she always comes running to...never came. So I left and later yesterday afternoon I called DH and he said he hadn't seen her and she hadn't touched her food. Then I knew something was going on. Well, then when DD and I got home I called her and saw her come from that brush pile and immediately could tell she was skinnier. Of course when I felt her tummy it was not as big. I could also tell she had some dried "stuff" on the underside of her tail and she kept cleaning herself down there. Please send Healthy kitten vibes please. My in-laws have already said they would take at least one if not two. They want some cats at their barn to help cut down on mice. Sheba has been caught catching some outside around our house and thankfully we haven't had any in the house yet. She is a good cat. Well, that is about all for now. At least I have something else to keep my mind off my situation! I am so excited about the kittens. Just hope they are healthy!
