I made a thread last night n this topic, but I think because I'm still so new, I posted it wrong because I don't see it. but it's ok, I posted it really late at night and was tired so I rambled a lot. I hate that I tend to do that so I apologize ahead of time if you see me doing it again >.<
Anyways, DH and I decided to start ttc#1 3 weeks ago! At the time, I had just started taking BCP a month before, and he was still on deployment (he's in the navy) and due home while I would be on my period, so I told my doctor this and she told me it's totally safe to just start the new pack and it would keep my period from coming (how horrible would it be if he came home after 6 months and I was on my period??) so because I did this, we decided to just start trying the next month because I didn't want to mess up my cycle. Well, a few days after he came home, my period started to break through anyway. Lightly bleeding. So I decided to just stop taking the pill then and my period came full-throttle. So, my period came about a week passed when it should have, if you get what I mean. Because of the new pack of BC, I think it just post-poned it.
Well, last night right before I fell asleep, this soreness came to my right side of my abdomen, just a little bit inside where my hip bone is. I woke up this morning and it's still there, and is still there even now. I've felt this before, but since I've never got into TTC this much, I've never ever thought it could be O time! In fact, I've NEVER paid attention to my O's or cycles, so this is all SO new to me. And I just remember reading on here that when you O, your ovaries can hurt. But, I just ended my period about a week ago, but if my body is still on it's normal cycle, then this would be about 2 weeks passed when my period SHOULD have stopped. Am I making sense??
I'm sorry, I'm just so new at this and am going on what tiny bit of information I have learned so far. And if I'm O'ing right now, I don't want to miss it! But if I'm not, I don't want to get my hopes up....OH! And if I am O'ing, when DH and I have sex when he gets home (I know there is a acronym for it, but I forgot!) is there anything I should do to help the chance of fertilization? Like, I think that just getting up would be bad because then gravity would fight against the little sperms to get up there! But is that totally dumb? See how new I am at this? lol someone help!

First of all, congrats on deciding to TTC #3! Now, I'm not really sure what to say because some people get really minor O pains and some get a sharp pain that lasts a while. Yours, however, has lasted a very long time. If it's causing you considerable pain, then I'd suggest you go see the dr. Otherwise, I say just wait it out - maybe it really is O pain. Good luck with it!

HI again!! it is kind of soon to be Oing so soon after AF, but your body might be getting back to normal after BCP, and it might take a cycle - but you could still get PG anytime.
BD = 'bad deed' & 'baby dance', whichever you choose to call it, LOL i NEVER call it that in real life by the way ;-) but that is what we all say here.
Oh, and about getting up - you can stay lying doen for 10 mins if you want, but it is probably unnec;ry. as long as the you-know-what is shot up there right by the cervix, the deed is done. the semen may leak out, but the spermmies are where they should be, so dont worry if you hop out of bed like a madwoman becusae you left the sauce on the stove.

This is weird, again I tried to post a reply and I thought it went through, but I don't see it now. Hmm...anyways, yes, we are trying for #1. Now, this may be TMI, but this has been kinda on my mind for awhile now. I don't know if this makes any difference at all because I have yet to learn exactly how semen get to the egg, but does it make a difference at all that my DH doesn't really squirt out, instead he (for lack of a better word-sorry) oozes out. I hope you ladies get what I mean. He denies it, but we did the "pull out" for awhile, so I have seen him go, and it very rarely squirts out. So I don't know if this means that the semen isn't getting sent to where it needs to go...sorry if this is stupid and TMI, but I'm just curious to know if this is something we should take into account if we need to while TTC. Thanks!
Oh, and the pain stopped. It stopped really soon after posting this thread. And it wasn't that painful at all. So I'm not too worried about it.
You can think of it this way - DH has a target, which is the opening of your cervix. Warning: TMI. If he can touch your cervix during sex, there isn't a problem. If not, or if in the heat of the moment neither of you are concerned with that, then you may want to stick to positions that will optimize the likelihood of him touching the cervix (doggie style comes to mind). Try to avoid being on top, if you can, since you want to keep the sperm close to your cervix as long as possible. Gravity is your enemy! Ladies, any other advice? I'm drawing a blank now.Glad the pain stopped, too! :)
