Ovulation Pain

I thought it might be useful for us to share out experiences with ovulation pain. I've observed this for two cycles now and this is my experience so far:

1. Mild cramping pain for less than an hour on the evening of cd13, followed by temp rise the next morning.

2. Mild cramping pain for c. 2 hours on the morning of cd13 (today), definitely on the side where I believe (due to swollen vulva and lymph node) that ovulation was occurring.

I would be very interested to hear your experiences - do you ever have ovulation pain? What cycle day do you get it and is it always the day before your temp rise?

Hi CSM,

I actually have very few symptoms when o'ing, belly tends to swell up a bit, like before AF, a cramp or two, nothing major. Before I started ttc I never even knew when I o'ed! I started temping only this cycle so that part is new to me.

I'm very regular, 27-28 day cycles and I seem to O on cd14. I guess I'll know more after temping a month.

GL and baby dust to us all!

I feel the pain (pinch) every month on either my left (but usually right) side from 12 to 24 hours. When I awake the next day, the pain is gone. From what my doctor has told me (my case) that pinch is the ovulation taking place, I DO NOT temp (since I know I'm O'ing anyway) but I know to BD day before (usually day 12 or 13), on the day (13 or 14) and the day after (to be sure - day 15) from doc's instructions. I am also really regular (28-29 days).
