Honestly, I wouldn't be worried about the swimmers from cd5. Sperm *may* survive 5 days in an ideal environment but I would guess the fresh ones would be stronger regardless. Plus, it's way too long from cd 5-12 for them to still be waiting around.

hello!! you sound like me and my sister!! between the 2 of us-we have 4 girls-the last baby was born in november and she was so sure it was going to be a boy-they bd-ed on the day she o-ed but hannah elizabeth was born and not john gregory. so im not sure you can even plan on that...and female spern MAY survive up to 5 days, but its no guarantee. i think you just have to get a window when you should ovulate and then watch your body. (this might be tmi-sorry if it is)i get wetter down there maybe 2 days before i ovulate, then i get really bad the day of. i can be standing there and im like "ewwww..." this month, we bd-ed when i was really squishy-lol-so we might have hit it. like you, i really would like a boy(we have 2 girls)but if it would be a girl, id be okay too. my main problem is-i dont have a girls name im in love with and i have 3 boys names that i love...i would really like to be able to use one of them!!! this is gonna be my last child too-no matter what. hoping for a bfp for both of us this month!!

Which opk's are you using? Make sure your pee isn't too diluted & try to hold it for 4 hours & not drink during that time. I personally had a tough time with opk's because my lh surge is really short (I'd O within 12 hours of a pos opk) & sometimes I wouldn't even get a positive. I always had better luck testing later in the day -b/w 4-6.

I don't put too much stock in bd timing & gender but if there's a chance it might sway in the right direction it's worth a shot! Happy bd'ing :)

I've heard preseed sways boy if you are looking for a little extra help :). I had a boy using it, so did a friend with both her boys. But also had a friend who had a girl so who knows.

I'm going for a girl this time so just trying to do what we can. Will be interesting to see if any of this actually works.

Good luck!
