It's been a while since I've been here. DH and I have been TTC for over a year now and I'm so frustrated. I am in a waiting line to have a laproscoptomy because I have an endometriosis-related cyst. It could be what is causing me to not get pregnant, but I was told to keep trying as normal until the surgery. ugh.
Anyway, I just bought a bunch of ovulation strips (the ones you dip into a cup of urine). How do I use them? Ok, not how, I've got that part down, but when? I am so clueless! There were no instructions mailed with them in my envelope .
-I think I've read somewhere that I should start testing 11 days into my cycle? Is that true?
-For how many days do I test?
-Do I really need to test between 2:30pm and 8pm? (Some days I will be home a decent time before 8pm and others I'll get home a bit after (around 8:30).
Any other hints or tips I should know? Thanks!

Here is one set of instructions that might help.
And I found another on a different site: http://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com/inovtesstrip.html
Hope this helps.

Hi Trying2conceiveboy,
I did get my ovulation strips and quite quickly. I was impressed. I've been using them the last couple of days and they are quite easy to use. You just pee into a cup, dip the tip of the strip in and wait for the results. My biggest question was when should I be testing, but I think I've figured that much out.
So far, no signs of ovulation. *grr* But that is also a big reason why I bought the strips, to see if I am actually ovulating or not, because I have a suspision that I'm not.
My periods are 27-29 days long, with 28 being the average. I started testing on day 10, just because *grin* and so far nothing! Today will be day 14 and I have that I should ovulate tomorrow-ish. I hope something shows up soon..but if not, then this only confirms my concerns that I'm not ovulating. *sigh*
Grr. I can't stand IE. It took me to a different page before I could post my message and I lost it. Anyway...
Unfortunately we don't have Dollar stores here. And ovulation kits (strips or POS types) are more expensive here in any case. It is easier for me to get the strips shipped here as they are cheaper and lighter. Also, if my orders are under 50€, they rarely get stopped at customs. (Try explaining what an ovulation kit is and how it works to a custom's agent. ROFL)
Is there a major difference between strips and POS? Or is the main difference just how you apply the pee?
Thanks!
