Hi everyone,

I hope this isn't too much info., but I just had to ask. When we were bd'ing on fri. I had a stabbing pain. It felt like DH was hitting something (TMI I know). Has anyone else ever had this happen? My guess is that maybe I was changing CP and it was on the way up? What do you guys think? This is the only time this has ever happened. Thanks for any input.

Hi, other Brenna. I don't really have an answer as to whether the pain could have anything to do with O or not, but I have had similar pains. I think it has to do with DH hitting the cervix. I have only experienced it in the woman on top position because DH gets deeper that way and I think the angle is bad sometimes. However, at other times it is perfectly fine. I think it may also have to do with your state of arousal (I think I read this somewhere). When you are more aroused, your body reads the sensation as pleasure, but when you are not quite there, it may seem more painful.

If you experience the pain again and it is not related to position, then you should probably check with your doc.

Hi Brennas. I had a very similar experience this cycle. On CD16 I had marked pains in my right ovary/uterus area. Every time I took a step with my right foot I had a pain. It was not stabbing really, more like just cramping, but it was almost alarming. I had the same pain during BD. The next day, CD17, the pain was much less intense but still occurred sporadically. On CD18, the day FF says I Od, the pain was completely gone. I really think it did have to do with O, and occurred both during walking and the BD. If not related to O, it is definitely cyclical.

IMHO!

Hi Brenna,

I have this quite often. I get ovulation pain almost every month and the only way I can explain the pain is that it's like sitting ona knife! (sorry) I think this is one of the reasons I have a difficult time getiing pg, because it is just too painfull to bd aroung O time. The only thing I have read that this is a symptom of (besides just having a sensitive body) is endometriosis. So if it continues every month, you mught want to get checked.

Thanks for your response. I acutally thought that I might have endometriosis, b/c I have painful periods and also painful BM's during AF. I actually have an appointment this week. Painful bd'ing during O is just another thing to add to my list. I also go to the bathroom a lot, would that have anything to do w/ endoimetriosis?

Thanks!
