Pinch the day of O should I TTC?

I have a very weird question. I am TTC #1 and am on second month (first time trying AF showed up two days late). I have not really started thinking of any particular method yet to increase my chances other than counting days on my calendar (28 days cycle). Every month around O time I feel a mild pinch on ovary that pretty much last that entire day (24 hours). My question is...on the day I feel the pinch, is it when the ovary actually releases the egg? Should I then TTC on that specific day or try to time it for the day before or after? How long does the egg travel and get to the perfect spot to get fertilized? Anyone experience the same thing? I have heard that a lot of women on a very regular cycle do.
Any thoughts would help. Thanks so much!

As for your question, you definitely would want to BD on the day before O...and on the day of O. The day after will probably be too late.
Now...as for when O is relative to your pinching feelings...I'm not sure. The best way to pinpoint O is through charting. Also, OPK kits can sometimes be helpful.
For me, this cycle, I had definite O pain for a couple of days, but then did not O for another day after the pains...if that makes any sense. So the pain can come from the egg being released...but I think it can also be caused by the ovary being stimulated and being close to releasing the egg.
If you have a regular 28 day cycle and feel the twinges around the same cycle day each month...then you could just plan to start the BDing a couple of days before the twinges and maybe for a day or two after the twinges go away, just to be on the safe side.
Hope this helps!

I have heard about charting but have no idea where to even begin with that. As for O tests, are they that reliable? I just thought i'd rely on the pinch I feel every month but now I am totally confused.
Thanks for your thoughts though.
