Please - Need help reading Preg test
| Sun, 11-30-2008 - 12:30pm |
H and I have been trying for about 3 months for our first.
This morning I took a HPT. The result was...confusing!
The "control" line was very dark.
The other line was about 60% as dark.
I am 14 DPO and would be expecting AF on Monday.
I know I can just retest in a few days, but the wait was killing me.
I'm wondering if anyone knows more about how to read Wondfo brand tests?
Package says 20 miu/ml.
(These were very inexpensive and came free with a bunch of ovulation test sticks.)
Any help would be appreciated! Trying not to get too hopeful, just in case.
Thanks!

Thank you, Tiffany.
I hope you're right - but I am concerned that these
tests are so cheap and might not be accurate?
Also, I did a few google searches and talk of
light lines indicating chemical pregnancies just
made me sad, so I stopped researching.
Thanks for the reply. I sure hope you're right!
Sounds like a positive to me! From what I've read on other posts, the cheap tests take longer to show good lines than the brand names do (like FRER or a digital) I bet if you got a FRER, you'd get nice lines. Light lines don't mean chemicals. Lines that get lighter from day to day can mean a chemical. Dont worry about that, just go get yourself a better test!
I agree with everyone else...you sound pregnant! Congrats! Google can be your worst nightmare in a time like this. Get another test and that detects small amounts of HCG and you'll probably get trustworthy results but I think you have enough to consider yourself pregnant.
HH 9 Months.

Pregnant with #2
BFP on 11 DPO
HCG 17 DPO = 2,000
HCG 20 DPO = 10,979
HCG 23 DPO = 25,588 (u/s showed gestational sac)
27 DPO = u/s showed baby and hearbeat! YAY!
Sounds like a BFP to me!
