Pregnancy after one cycle off BC??
| Thu, 11-20-2008 - 12:03pm |
Hello,
I just stopped my BC pill 2 weeks ago after my "period" ended and never started another pack. My hubby and I DTD 2 days in a row this Tuesday and Wednesday. Can it be possible that you can get pregnant so quickly? Right after being off of BC?? I'm feeling some weird shooting pains in my ovaries. Please let me know if you heard of this happening before or not?? Thanks!!

I wish I could say exactly where in my cycle I am, but just getting off the pill charting is that reliable yet. I am only basing my dates on my body' signals which I think are pretty reliable if you pay attention. Due to the cramps, hyper sex drive, and EWCM around 11-8 we BD'd like crazy trying to take advantage of that first cycle -now FF says a whole different thing but I am willing to bet I O'd on the 8-9. I did test yesterday morning with a BFN ($ test) so I got a 2 pack CBE digital(walmart $10!) and I will take one on saturday and HOPE to not have to use next one!!!! This is my 1st cycle off Yaz for a year. I did have a nice temp dip about 2 days ago that I thought could be implantation but then I had another small(much smaller) dip today so who knows!! Wouldnt it be cool if we got our BFP on the same day!!!
I found out I was pregnant with my daughter while on the pill! I had missed a couple here and there but mostly on it that month LOL After she was born we switched to Mirena so it would be memory proof

Hi Keri,
Looks like we are on the same cycle as well and this is my first cycle of TTC. I just bought a digital EPT the other day and if your AF lets say is due on Sat. it says that 4 days is 51% chance, that 2 days is 81%, 1 day before is 99% chance (I forget what 3 days is :) ).
I was on the patch and got pregnant while on it with my first son, my second son I got pregnant the month after. So it is definitely possible. BUT most doctors will advice not to try until 2 months after going off BC because the lining of your uterus is thin and the risk of MC is much higher. I never had those problems obviously! Good luck
