Pregnancy Tests...AARGH!

Alright. First let me say, I'm terribly irregular, so I have no idea when I am due. Last month I went 50 days between periods, the month before 43, previous 36, etc. Anyway, it's been a little over a month since my last one, so I picked up a couple Equate brand PG tests this morning at Wal-Mart. I brought them home and decided to try one out. The instructions said it would come up in 3-4 minutes, don't read it after 10 minutes. So, after a few minutes, up comes a faint line. Hm. So, later on, I try the other one, and though it took a little longer - not 10 minutes, another darker line comes up. Great,I think! So I had my husband run to Walgreens to buy me another one for the morning and he brought me home a 3 pack of EPT. And since I had so many...I tried one of those. Nada! No lines. I went online to check out sensitivity comparisons, and half the websites had EPT as more sensitive, and half had Equate as more sensitive. So, now I don't know anything! And I'm frustrated! I have tried Equate in previous months and never gotten any lines even after 10 minutes, so I would think my positive lines mean something? Has anyone else gotten lines on Equate when not pregnant?

Thanks for letting me vent!

To my I would say you are pregnant! I would not test again till tomorrow morning and use FMU, that will have the highest concentration of HCG..

GL...but it sounds promising!

Hey Leigh,

I hope that when you test with FMU you get a poisitive - maybe try First Respone Early. There does seem to be more false positives on this board, however. But, hopefully this is not one of them. Sorry if that's not the best response, but I always prefer an honest opinion, and as such I try to give them.

Let us know - I'll say a baby prayer for you tonight : )

Thanks ladies for your support! I tested twice with EPT this morning and got two positives, so I guess it is true! I must not have had enough HCG for the EPT to pick up on yesterday. What a difference 24 hours makes, huh? Thanks everyone and baby dust to you all!
