Hello all!! I am new to this message board but I hope someone may have some advice that can help me out so as not to be so discouraged. We have been ttc for a little over a year now with no luck. With my first child it took a year to conceive and I had irregular periods then but once he was born they became really irregular like I would only get one every few months. It has been this way for three and a half years now and my doctor says that everything is fine and this is normal sometimes after having a child. Has anyone ever experienced this before or am I just overreacting and getting stressed out since it has been a year and no luck yet? I am hoping that since it took this long with the first one that the second one will be happening soon. Any advice that anyone could give would be great. TIA

Hi Christina,

I don't really know about this, but you may want to check out the TTC 6 months + board, where some of the ladies have more experience in TTCing. Just click on the link for Parentsplace message boards and lots of message boards will come up. You may find some women who have some experience in what you are going through.

Good luck!

Welcome to the board, Christina! I'm sorry you're having troubles- it doesn't sound like your Dr is being too helpful for you. If you are so irregular, that means you may not even be ovulating- or certainly not regularly and may need some help that way. Most Dr's will intervene after a year of ttc and obvious known issues such as yours. If you want help- be insistant with your Dr. If he is still unwilling, find another. There are many of us here who have had Drs that are uncooperative and it really makes all the difference in the world to have someone who is willing to work with you. Clomid is a common med used to induce ovulation. I would say some testing is in order and some help from your Dr.

GL to you~ ((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))
