I am just wondering if a really high Progesterone level post ovulation could possibly indicate pregnancy... anyone know?

I'm 8dpo and the wait is killing me! I had blood drawn today to check my progesterone levels and I'm waiting to hear what they are. Hoping they are high...and also wondering if they are really high, is that a good sign?

Yes...high levels of progesterone can be indicative of pregnancy. A normal level post "o" non pg is about 10-15. Here is a link to the pg levels: http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hormonelevels.html#progesterone

Looks like 20+ at 4 weeks pg. There *may* not be that high of a level at only 8dpo though.

Let us know what your results are!

Thank you so much for that link Tara! I knew I had seen a chart somewhere before, I could not find it...

I'll find out my level tomorrow. I'm on Clomid, so hopefully my level will at least be a 15.

Thanks again!

I was asking this same question early spring, when I had 50mg of Clomid and my mid-luteal prog. was 48. I thought for sure I was pg, I was even thinking twins. But all the searching and messages I received informed me that higher levels of progesterone do in no way indicate pregnancy. I was not pg, just had a really great O, several times my levels were above 40. I am still ttc. I wish you the best and hope that you have great prog. and that it turns out to be that BFP!!

Sending++++++++vibes your way!
