Progesterone test range?
| Mon, 10-20-2003 - 7:51pm |
Does anyone know what the range should be for Progesterone after O? Specifically to indicate that you did O, but also to indicate that you could support a pg.
My test came back at 7.5, which the nurse said was ovulatory, but on the low side. So they are again suggesting Clomid.
Thanks

Well my doc said that a level over 10 for non-medicated (no fertility drugs) and they like to see a level over 15 with clomid, or drug of same. I got my levels back from 7dpo (I took the test at 6dpo since the 7th day fell on a Saturday) my levels today were 35.6!
I am on clomid, 100mg cd 4-8 (just finished it for this cycle) my doc said they were double what the usual level is. People say you can "sometimes" tell if you're pg with the levels being high but some have had very high levels, higher than mine and have not been pg, it's too hard to tell. I am having a lot of symptoms though since 1dpo, sore nipp's, heartburn, cramping like crazy (dull and twinging cramps), headaches, now bb's are getting more sore and I had a implantion dip (I hope) at 8dpo and it rose again today. Not holding my breath, it could be from the clomid. I will test on cd 12, this Thurs. I am a bit nervous but I have a lot of positive signs. We'll see! So hope this gives you some idea of the levels. Your level seems a bit low and the clomid will for sure bring your level up. GL.

Mine came back at 9.1 at 11 DPO. I also had an HCG of 36 at the same blood draw so I am pregnant. I'm on progesterone supplements now due to the low numbers. My HCG was doubling though, so things are looking OK. I never was on clomid.
4.73 - 50.74 for sustaining a pregnancy.
5.16 - 18.56 for a non-pregnancy.
Most Dr's want a min. of 20 to sustain a pregnancy. Good luck!

Julie, I hope your high levels indicate a pregnancy! I'll be looking in the BFP section for you soon!
Robynanne, congratulations on your pregnancy!!!! I'm sure having the HCG doubling makes you feel better, especially with the prog supplements.
Lisa, good luck with your IUI this month. I can't imagine the suspense you must be feeling right now.
Good luck, and thanks for your response!
