question about clomid (probably stupid)

I am on my second cycle of Clomid, 50mg, CD5-9. I already ovulate on my own each month (it was between CD12-CD16, normally right in the middle). R.E. prescribed it to see if maybe the extra boost would help ... he told me odds are it would cause me to produce 1 more egg. My question is this ... since I already O every month on my own, now that I am probably producing 2 eggs, do they both release at the same time?? I feel stupid for even asking.

While I'm at it ... when the heck do you think I O'd this month? A few people have suggested CD13 and I thought maybe CD14, but if my temp stays up tomorrow which I'm sure it will, FF puts me at CD15.

I am in no means a clomid expert I was only on it for this cycle but I agree with you on that your O date is cd13 possibly cd14 going from the O pains.

Hello,
I have done some reading up on this as I might be going on clomid.
You can release the second egg the same time or with in 24 hrs to 36 hrs of the first. So you may have O'd eggie one on the cd13 and the second on cd14 or cd15. I don't mean to make this more confusing. I just thought that I would share what I have read.

Thanks Kelly :) I'm actually going to put down the thermometer and stop temping for the remainder of the month to see if helps anything (hell I will try ANYTHING at this point) ... maybe temping has been unknowingly causing some stress and anxiety. It definitely causes me to over-analyze. I'm just trying to pinpoint my O date because I *always* get AF at 14DPO and I just want to know when to expect it.

Well it looks like you O between cd 13 and 16. so I would just try temping around those days. I would just temp cd10 to 16. that might take some of the stress off of you. I also find that writing in the threads helps too. I have started a journal that I write in every night to help destress.

Hello,
the same happened to me! this is my first cycle on 50 mg Clomid. I did vulated on my own.
I had the worst O pains ever, on the first day of my LH surge (by the CBEFM monitor). I had it on both sides. My pain got relieved during the night, early AM. Next morning my temps were higher but it was not a definite shift. Later that day, I started to have O pains again, but only on one side this time. Pain went away by the evening and my temps were sky high the next morning. I was wondering, if i could possibly ovulate in two waves?

Baby Dust to you!
