Hi, I mostly lurk around here, but I have a question. This is the second time I've ttc, and the first after 3 years resulted in a beautiful little girl.

When I found out I was pregnant with her I was really surprised because I was sure that I'd had my period. (I wasn't charting.) Today I'm 10dpo, and yesterday I began spotting. This is the first month I've charted, so I'm not sure what to think. I have not had a shift or drop in my temps. It has been the same for 2 days, and is not anywhere near cover. However it seems like it is much more like AF today. Much heavier and a little more red. I'm not cramping at all. I'm wondering though, if anyone else experiences this before AF shows up. Do you not show a temp change with spotting? does it not shift until your flow really starts? I'm not sure what to think, but I don think it is too early to test, so I'm not going to bother.

As you can see, charting doesn't always answer all the questions. Our bodies are sometimes just not going to let us in on the secret. I would say that 10 DPO is too long of a time for it to be implantation bleeding. That, and implantation bleeding is typically just a little spotting and not AF like. That's what I think anyway. That said, plenty of people have all sorts of bleeding and other weird things when they are pregnant. Usually when I have AF, my temps go down right away. That's just me though. Sometimes people keep the higher temps for a day or two after AF starts. Sometimes people have a temp drop a few days before AF starts.

I'd say to give it a few days. If you're still not sure, go ahead and test.

Just curious if you have taken a preg. test since this spotting. Did you end up being pregnant?

Okay I am going through the exact same thing as Hbramlett. I started spotting 8DPO and it started out as just that light spotting. But now that is 10DPO I started spotting heavily and even had a large clot, and i am thinking this is not normal. And if it is AF, first of all it is almost 11 days early and I don't have large clots. Confused and scared. What are some other reasons why woman bleed while pregnant? Any info would be great. Adn when would anyone suggest I try testing? Thanks.
