hi ladies...

I've been on the boards for a couple of months now, but a few things still confuse me... In alot of the post titles, I see

(m)

(m/c)

(m/c ment)

I'm assuming m/c means miscarriage??? am I right? but what do the others mean???

thanks ladies!

Hi Cathy! I used to be a regular here, but have just been lurking this month. I'll be glad to help you out:

(m) means more. You may see it in the subject line of a post to indicate that you need to open the post because there is more text. It used to be used all the time on our old message board format, but you don't see it so often anymore because almost every post on the new format has text inside and needs to be opened to see the whole post.

m/c does mean miscarraige.

(m/c ment) means that a miscarriage is mentioned in a post. It is used as a courtesy to those who may be upset by something that is mentioned in a post. You will also see (past pg ment) for past pregnancy mentioned or (pg ment) for a current pregnancy being mentioned and (dd ment) or (ds ment) for dear daughter or dear son mentioned for those who do not feel up to reading about others' children. Many on the board are TTC#1 and are just sometimes not feeling up to reading about someone else's child at that moment. I hope this helps and GL (good luck) to you!
