Hi,

Does anyone know if you can ovulate 8 days after your menstrual cycle starts? My husband and I have been trying to conceive our first baby and it is hard to tell when I ovulate.

Thanks,

Hi Denise,

Detecting ovulation is sonething very hard, I can agree on this. However, it differs from one girl to another. It may happen on day 8 yes but not likely you know. Everything is possible. The average is between day 9 and day 14 , but some ovulate day 16 some before..it depends on your body. Anyway, there are some signs like some pain in the lower right or left side. Cervical fluid ( watery or egg white : fertile).BBT changes ..Have you tried Fertility Freind online. This is my first time there and I think it is wonderful. It is helpful.I think it worths a try.

Best luck

It's possible to ovulate as early as CD8 depending on your cycle. If you want a better idea when you're ovulating, I'd highly recommend charting your BBT. Read the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility," too - it's got all the tips and tricks of charting BBT for pregnancy achievement, etc.

Good luck!
