Question on Cervix Position AFTER O

Hey girls,

I have a maybe diffucult question. After you O does you cp go back into it's normal state right away? Meaning does it return to low, firm and closed as soon as you're done Oing? Anyone feel your cp after you think you O'ed? Right now I think I O'ed today, cramping, nipples sore, very warm (took temp even though I do not temp regular and it was 98.0 for the most) but when I feel my cp it feels a lot more firmer and closed than this morning when I checked (I've checked it like 6 times today!) but it's still pretty high. If you are not pg, does it return to normal state right away or a few days later? I don't know if anyone can answer this unless you tracked you cp your entire cycle to tell. I had my "peak fert." show on my monitor yesterday morning (Wed.) and today, Thursday so we bd yesterday morning, last night and again this morning (I know overkill bd in a row) so I think if I did O today, I should be covered. According to my monitor once I hit the LH surge I "should" O within 24-36 hrs. it says. I was crampy mostly all day yesterday but again today so not sure which day I actually O'ed, if I did (as I do not temp to know for sure but am starting to next cycle).

Also, if you did get pg right away I have heard that your cervix stays somewhat soft and high but closed, those of you who are preggo, is that true? I have such a hard time feeling around up there to really feel how open or closed it is but can tell the hardness or softness.

Any thoughts or advice on this please.

Thanks so much.

Julie

I don't really know, I've wondering about CP as well. I found this site, it might help.

Hi Julie- lol- I just lost my entire post to you...here we go again!

Yes, the cp will go high and soft during pg but may take anywhere from 6-8 weeks to do that, so it's going up and down post o really doesn't indicate that you are or are not pg. From your cp observations it sounds like you have definitely o'd- especially if you're feeling your cp already closed and firming up. Tara last cycle had her o monitored through her RE and she found out that she o'd almost two days before her o pains/cramps even started- so I'd say you've already o'd and your bd was perfectly timed ;) ;) Sending you MEGA ++++++++++ PV's and hoping this is your cycle! GL!!!!

HTH and here's a website you might find helpful too:
