I am mostly a lurker but lately I have been coming our more and more from Lurkerdom. Anyway, a quick intro about myself. I have a dd who is now 3. I am now TTC #2 and had a m/c after 9 weeks pg. in June. This is now my 3rd cycle TTC since the m/c. With my dd and my last pregnancy, I conceived right away. Since the m/c it is taking me longer and some weird things are going on with my cycle.
The weirdest change is although my cycle has stayed at 28 days (which it always has been), since the m/c I now ovulate on day 18. In the past I always ovulated on day 14. This now changed my luteal phase from about 14 days to 10. This is now my 3rd cycle that I ovulated on day 18 ( I am currently on day 19). I know this by temping and a fertility monitor.
I called my OB who said that it would be rare for my to develop a luteal phase defect after having a successful pregnancy, but wants to do a endometrial biopsy next week to rule it out. She did say that a 10 day LP is short. She said blood tests are not sufficent enough info. So my question (after all that) is: Has anyone had this done? What should I expect (does it hurt)? Should my husband come with me in the room? What if I am pregnant, would the procedure make me m/c?
I am confused if I should do this but I do not want to wait if it is something I need?
Please let me know you thoughts and I really appreciate all of your responses.

Obviously this is from a clinic that performs this proceedure and yours may not follow the same, but I imagine it will be similar.
HTH! GL to you and please keep us updated.
