Question regarding charting/temping

TTC #2, first cycle and first time charting. I would like to know if there is a way to know by temps when "o" is about to happen. I have irregular cycles that are sometimes very long, so the more I can tell when I'll "o" the better. OPK's would get expensive as they only usually include 5 day testing. I'm on cd10 and temps have been consistent so far 97.3-97.6 (last 5 days), didn't temp while AF was here. Anyway, just want the scoop on how temping will help me predict ovulation.

Thanks,

Angie w/a 21 mos DS

Unfortunately, there's no promise that your temps will indicate an O anytime soon. Some people's temps tend to dip a little just before O day, but that's not everyone and it's not every time. Plus, by the time the temps dipped, you should've been planting that sperm already anyway.

Saddly, there is no absolute in this baby making business. Good luck to you!
