Hello ladies! I am planning to start charting my temps at the start of my next cycle. (I bought the thermometer with diary and other conception enhancing doohickeys yesterday, its very exciting!) The problem I have is that

I have thought about it. Im trying to get my head round all the things on here first. There is so much to take in! I took note of my bbt this morning and from what I remember it was the same as yesterday so I must be doing something right. As soon as AF gets here I will start charting with FF. Thanks for all your help ladies.

Yes, the first time you see regular flow. Not spotting or blood u see when u wipe, it has to be a steady flow. Are you going to join FF? They teach u so much with their charting course.

I am going to start taking note as of tomorrow morning. CD1 is the first day AF shows up in full force right? Its not at the start when there is just spotting or when its really light is it? I know I have a lot of questions but I have learnt more from you girls in four days than I have from god knows how much searching online etc. Thanks you for all your advice.

I just started doing BBT's this month and I think it takes a little while to get the hang of it. I'm not sure how accurate mine are going to be this month as a whole.

I agree with Angela. I am new to charting and I did what Angela recomended. Start to temp now and that way when AF does start you would have started. Check my chart out if u like :)

Yeah, I don't temp at all during AF anymore, though you may want to for a month or 2 (if necessary!) just so you get an overall feel for how your cycle goes. But if you don't do it on the first day of AF, no big deal at all!

Thank you! I did have a sneaky temp check this morning just to try. How ridiculous is that! Im so excited about getting the ball rolling that Im doing already haha! Its really difficult to do without moving too much. Practice makes perfect I suppose :smileyhappy:

Always take your bbt first thing in the morning, before you do anything. Just grab it & temp & always at the same time or you'll get inaccurate results. Set an alarm -it makes things easier.

It doesn't matter if af shows morning or afternoon -if it's full red flow, count it as cd1. If it comes really late at night, I'll count that as the next day & make a note on my chart but that's just me.

You might want to start temping before af shows just so you can get the hang of it. If not, it doesn't matter if you miss a temp or two during af. Many girls don't temp during af or in the 2ww, but like I said, it's good practice & may help make it a habit.

Good luck & happy temping :)
