HI,

so hear goes what has been going on with me. I had my son Nov 2010 and I did not get my cycle till after I stopped breastfeeding about six months in. My cycles return consistantly after stopping breastfeeding ranging from anywhere to 28 or 29 days. Me and DH decided as of Nov 2011 we would start TTC #2. That month i missed my period for no reason. It was not stress related. My cycle returned Dec 4th and seemed completely normal so we started TTC again. I expected my period for Jan 1st and it did not come. I have taken a couple of home tests all BFN. I have no pregnancy symptoms so I am confident that I am not pregnant but my period is again not arriving. In Nov I had all bloods done to real out any reasons for my cycle to skip. I have no thyroid disorder or any high sugar. all my Fsh, Prolcatin, Lh, etc all came back normal. I am frustrated cause I dont understand why this is happening. Has this happened to anyone before or does anyone have advice on what I could do? I am I the cause? Should I be doing something different? I appreciate any advice thank you.

Did you test progesterone? Could it br an anovulatory cycle?

Have you thought about seeing if you are ovulating by using OPKs or tracking your basal body temperature?

Annovulatory is a possibility :( You could still ask for a progesterone b/w to see if you O'd. How were your cycles before you got pg with ds? Throughout my research, I learned that it can sometimes take women up to 2 years for our bodies to return to *normal* after pg & bf'ing. I fell in that category -all of my tests came back normal, except I had short cycles instead of long ones like you.

Sometimes mother nature is just down right weird....

I agree with trying opk's & bbt to get to know your body better :) Good luck

I guess I am just confused as to why I would have experience anovulation all of a sudden. I have an appt tomorrow with my ob to further discuss what the issues might be. I have never charted using my basal temp and I think I should look into with my next cycle. I used opk's with ds and that is how we were successful to get pregnant along with my cm. what weird is my cm seems to be going through its normal cycles but when it comes time for my period not such luck. My cycles always ran a normal 28/29 days before ds came along so i guess its just a shock that all of a sudden my cycles changed. thanks for your advice ladies I hope I get answers soon.
