Hi all, I am jewish, but my husband was adopted. I am trying to figure out if it makes sense for us to get tested for the tay-sachs like diseases.What do you all think about something like this? http://tinyurl.com/3tetkvy. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Hi Jessica, welcome to the board! I think it's probably a good idea to get tested. Not only will it give you some peace of mind, it will let you know if you are a carrier or not. According to this article if you are, your children would also be a carrier for it.

I think you should definitely get tested for be just to be on the safe side. From what I have heard about children with it its a horrible thing to endure and if it is in any way avoidable I believe I would. Hope it all works out for you!
